Ferren Studio of Photography, St Clairsville’s and Belmont County’s oldest running business spanning five generations continues to provide this area with a tradition of fine portrait photography and framing services.

Founded in 1870 by John W. Ferren, a life long resident of St. Clairsville and was operated by him until his death in 1920. A son Lawrence continued operation with his wife Lela Rinker Ferren until his death in 1945. His wife Lela continued the Studio business until her death in 1970.

After Lela’s passing, her son Donald R. Ferren and his wife Nan Shaw Ferren took over and hired photographers to work at the studio until 1986 at which time Donald, Grandson of the founder John W Ferren took over the photographic services assisted by his wife Nan.

Another generation and Great Grandson of the founder Kevan D. Ferren took over as photographic manager in 1996 along with co-owners Donald and Nan Ferren.

Kevan, is now President and solo Proprietor of Ferren Enterprises LLC after the passing of Donald and Nan in 2016 & 2017. He was also the owner and operator of A Touch of Class limousine until he retired that portion of the business in 2017. He continues to operate Ferren Studio of Photography providing portrait services and custom framing and matting to the Ohio Valley area. He is carrying on a family tradition that spans 153 years and counting.
